New Zealanders are born innovators and Aotearoa is renowned for its inspiring and inventive business environment. At Rua, innovation is a founding principle. Mauitanga (as we refer to it) celebrates curiosity, creativity, and courage.
Mangaoporo, our cultivation site at Ruatorea, is home to intergenerational plant knowledge and world-class R&D. It is from here that Rua produces research and variety discovery crops. Our ultimate goal is to develop superior and unique strains here in Te Tairawhiti that will be grown at scale for global distribution.

International Sales and Marketing
From the outset, Rua has understood that we must go global to support local. Rua is export-focused, with established sales and marketing partnerships across Europe.
Rua works with German medicinal cannabis distributor, Nimbus Health and has a five-year master supply agreement with European medicinal cannabis distributor, Motagon, ensuring access to high-value markets across Eastern and Central Europe.
